Description of the Toolbox
==========================
The Toolbox is located in the selected folder during the setup.
The default path is: \Program Files\Siemens\Toolbox 802SC base line
and is located in the root of the drive on which Windows is
installed.
(In other language versions of Windows, the folder name is
localized appropriately by default.)
For software updates the systemfile enc0.abb is stored on the CD
and will not be installed on the PC.
For updates please use WinPCIN to load the enc0.abb in binary mode
directly from the CD into the control with the start up key = 2.
A) Directory structure and description

Configuration files to initialize the control for several use.
The .ini-files contain all necessary machine data to extend
the origin turning version or to establish a milling version.
- techmill.ini (to set the machine dates for a milling machine)
Please load this file at first, if you want set up a milling machine!
- PLC-MD_T.ini (to set selected PLC-MD for turning machines)
- PLC-MD_M.ini (to set selected PLC-MD for milling machines)
To set your special PLC-MD please refer to the Description of PLC-Lib.
- spinres.ini (to ensure the spindle mode OWN SPINDLE RESET)
Additional to load, if you set MD 35040 SPIND_ACTIVE_AFTER_RESET = 1.
- turnax_U.ini (to enable an additional position axis U for turning machines)
- turnax_V.ini (to enable an additional position axis V for turning machines)
- turnax_W.ini (to enable an additional position axis W for turning machines)
Only one of these additional position axis can be enabled.
Please select the necessary .ini-file and download them into
the 802SC base line by using WinPCIN.

Please use the WinPCIN to download the necessary cycle files in the 802SC base line.
You can download all the cycles MILL or TURN as one file (Allcyc.spf )
or the cycles seperatly, if you need only some of it and you want to
economize part program memory.
\Vxxyyzz\PROJECTS
This project directory is to join all necessary files into one directory for a
certain customer or for a certain machine type or for similar combinations.
Hint: To modify any PLC user alarms or cycle alarms from \TEXT_UPD\TEXT,
you have to create a "project" by using the Text Manager Tool. During
the creation you can select the languages and files you want to modify.
Then you are able to edit these files, the origin SIEMENS text are not
editable.
\Vxxyyzz\TEXT_UPD
The enclosed text update files are for updating the HMI languages and
for editing and download cycle and PLC alarm texts for the several languages.
Hint: Update is to be done by using the installed Text Manager Tool
for select, create and download into the 802SC base line.

Destination directory for the created text archivs,
used by the Text Manager Tool,
empty after download.
\Vxxyyzz\TEXT_UPD\TEXT
- Archiv files for the HMI texts in the several languages.
Please select and download the desired language into the 802SC base line
by using the Text Manager menu LAN.
Attention:
* If you select two languages for the download,
it is necessary on the 802SC base line side, to start the transmission
a second time after the download of the First Language.
* Only one asian language is allowed to load into the control,
because the memory is limited
* Download will be done with binary format (to select only on the 802SC base line side)
- Cycle alarms and PLC alarm text file templates,
to edit and to create user alarms for PLC and user cycles.
Hint1: Please create or select a project by using the Text Manager menu PROJ.
Then you are able to edit and download the alarm and cycle texts
in the desired language by using the Text Manager menu OEM.
Download has to be done with binary format.
(to select only on the 802SC base line side)
Hint2: If you want to copy texts from an older version, please open the
Text Manager from the older version and the Text Manager from this
new version on your PC, copy the desired textfile completely to
substitute the default texts completely with this copy.
Use the clipboard on your PC.
B) File transfer between 802SC base line and PC (WinPCIN or Text Manager Tool)
******************************************************************************
Please use the WinPCIN Tool and for all text files under TEXT_UPD
the Text Manager Tool.
Please do the following steps:
1. Connect the SINUMERIK 802SC base line (COM1) and the PC (COM1/2) via V.24-cabel.
2. SINUMERIK 802SC base line:
Power is On,
Please use the operating area "Service/RS232 setting" to prefer the transfer:
- To transmit ASCII- files, press the softkey "RS232 Text"
- To transmit binary files, press the softkey "RS232 Binary"
- Select the desired Baud rate
- In case of read out from the 802SC base line select the desired data,
for reading in no selection is necessary.
3. PC:
Prefer the transfer:
- Start the necessary tool
- Select the transmission format and rate by using the Config
menus in the WinPCIN or Text Manager Tool
4. Select the desired source data or the destination filename
5. Start the transfer, at first the input side and than
the output side. |
